1. Call the Number to Discuss DNA Testing Options

Call us at (816) 795-5599 to discuss what type of DNA test you need. Everyone’s situation is unique, so a phone consultation is the best way to determine how Heartland DNA can help meet your needs.

Some items we will discuss are:

  • Do you need a DNA paternity test or a different type of DNA test?
  • Do you need to be able to use the results for legal purposes?
  • Can your DNA be collected in my office in Independence or do we need to travel to your location?
  • Pricing and payment methods.
  • What remaining questions do you have about the DNA testing process? Many questions are answered below and on the FAQ’s page, but we want to ensure you have answers to all your questions so please don’t hesitate to ask.

Schedule an appointment for DNA collection. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please give 24 hours notice so other clients can be scheduled.

If you come to the office to have your DNA collected, tell the receptionist you have an appointment for a DNA test. She will notify us so we can come up to the front office to greet you. If you are not coming to the office, we will meet you at the pre-determined location.

Once your DNA has been collected, the necessary documentation is finished and sent to the lab with the swabs. Processing time for each type of test varies from 3-4 business days for a DNA paternity test to upwards of 10 days for other tests.

Results are emailed to Heartland DNA and each of the parties to the test are called to have the results read to them so any remaining questions can be answered. The results are then sent to each party to their email or home address. Results can also be emailed to your attorney if requested.

Please note: Clients are called as soon as possible after the results are in so if you haven’t received a call, the results are not available yet. We appreciate your patience while you wait!
